Mickey

Gearing up for my son's third birthday, he had discovered Mickey Mouse and we thought that would be a great theme. There are so many cute ideas to do with this theme, it was hard to narrow things down! We decided to hold the party at Catch Air which included a surprise dance party with Mickey. It was awesome!

My favorite aspect of the party had to be my son's birthday shirt that I got from Gigi and Max (use my link to get $5 off). It was absolutely perfect for the theme! For favors, I purchased ears to hand out and custom cookies from my favorite baker Pum's Sweets. For the tables, I got white and black polkadot tablecloths and then alternated red and yellow plates + napkins.

I decided to make my own centerpieces which turned out to pretty easy to make. To make these, you will need the following for each centerpiece:

  • red cup

  • 2 white buttons

  • yellow crinkle paper

  • ribbon

  • black spray paint for the head

  • stick (I used wooden skewer)

  • 3 foam balls to make the head

  • something to weight down the cup (sand, rocks, craft foam, etc)

Just assemble and you are on your way! I recommend making the head and base separately, and then putting together once everything has dried.

Finally, I wanted to service mickey cupcakes. To make these, I just bought cupcakes from a store and added Oreos to make the ears. Super easy! Now I wish I could eat one...
